APER\u00c7U<\/h1>\n\t\t\t\t\t

Fond\u00e9 en 1909, le quartier chinois de Winnipeg est l\u2019une des plus anciennes communaut\u00e9s chinoises des Prairies canadiennes. Situ\u00e9 au centre-ville et structur\u00e9 autour de King Street, il s\u2019est d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la d\u00e9termination des premiers immigrants chinois, qui ont cr\u00e9\u00e9 des entreprises, des associations communautaires et des r\u00e9seaux de soutien malgr\u00e9 la discrimination et des lois d\u2019immigration restrictives.

Au cours des ann\u00e9es 1980, une importante revitalisation men\u00e9e par la communaut\u00e9 a transform\u00e9 le quartier. La porte d\u2019entr\u00e9e du quartier chinois, le jardin du patrimoine chinois, Harmony Mansion, ainsi que les immeubles Dynasty et Mandarin interconnect\u00e9s ont cr\u00e9\u00e9 un paysage culturel distinctif qui demeure au c\u0153ur de l\u2019identit\u00e9 du secteur. L\u2019immeuble Dynasty abrite \u00e9galement le Winnipeg Chinese Cultural and Community Centre, une institution importante pour la programmation culturelle et la vie communautaire.

Bien que la population sino-canadienne de Winnipeg et de nombreuses entreprises chinoises soient d\u00e9sormais dispers\u00e9es dans toute la ville, le quartier chinois historique demeure un lieu irrempla\u00e7able de patrimoine, de m\u00e9moire et d\u2019identit\u00e9 communautaire.
